Homeschool attendance tracker: a free printable monthly record

Many home-educating parents keep a simple record of school days. Some do it for their own planning, some to see the balance of the year, and some because local rules ask for it.

Requirements differ by state and country, and some places ask for nothing at all. Check what your local rules ask you to record. This sheet is a record-keeping aid, not legal advice.

Total

Codes: F full day, H half day, T trip, O off.

Totalling days in a spreadsheet

If each child’s codes are in a column (for example B2 to B32), this counts full days plus half days as halves:

=COUNTIF(B2:B32,"F")+COUNTIF(B2:B32,"T")+0.5*COUNTIF(B2:B32,"H")

Change the formula if you count trips or half days differently. The point is to decide once and apply it the same way all year.
